Some of our service projects include photographing graves at Oaklawn Cemetery in Hattiesburg and uploading them to Find a Grave. We are group sponsors and location sponsors for Wreaths Across America at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg. A Patriots Marker was dedicated, and a Liberty Tree was planted at the Southern Miss Center for Military Veterans, Service Members, and Families to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.
We volunteer at a local school that helps children who have been at risk in the public school. We sponsor the American History Essay Contest and award the DAR Good Citizen at local schools. We attend naturalization ceremonies and welcome the new citizens.
We promote Constitution Week, present medals for ROTC and Jr. ROTC, support troops serving overseas with care packages, volunteer at the Veteran's Home in Collins, Mississippi, and donate goods to Veterans Organizations.
